Detailed itinerary:

Day 1: Arrive HK
Arrive HK. Your private guide will meet you at airport and transfer to hotel. Rest day is free for jet-leg.

Day 2: HK/Guilin B (breakfast)
Today enjoy a half day morning tour of Hong Kong Island. You will visit Victoria Peak for a panoramic view of the city and Stanley Market, famous for bargain shopping. Return along the coast of Repulse Bay and Deep Water Bay to Aberdeen, the floating village for fishermen. Finally, stop at a local jewellery factory near Aberdeen for a chance to look at the art and craftsmanship. Afternoon is free on your own to further explore HK. Take evening flight to Guilin, whose romantic scenic beauty has inspired centuries of poets and painters. Meet and transfer to hotel.

Day 3: Guilin/Yangshuo B,L (breakfast, lunch)
The day begins with a half-day cruise on the meandering, crystalline waters of the Li River. This is one of the most beautiful areas in the whole world, showing the magnificent limestone mountains rising along the river bank. Buffet lunch will be on boat. As the cruise ends, you will disembark in Yangshuo, a quaint village with a very nice street market. You are very close to the beautiful mountains and you can go into the countryside to see the beautiful vistas. You also can take a bicycle ride along the country road to visit Banyan Tree Park and Moon Hill or wonder along the West Street or having a pot of tea in a sidewalk caf¨¦. Return Guilin after tour.

Day 4: Guilin/Longsheng/Guilin B,L,D
Drive in the early morning to Longsheng Multi-minority Autonomous County where Dong, Zhuang, Miao and Yao people live harmoniously together. You will gain an inside glimpse at their unique life style and conventions. The scenery in this area is outstanding with rice terraces cascading down the hillside and stretching in all directions. Drive back to Guilin. Enjoy the Ethnic Songs and Dances at Lijiang Theatre in the evening.

Day 5: Guilin/Kunming B,L
Today¡¯s sightseeing tour covers such points as the Fubo Hill, the Reed Flute Cave and Elephant Trunk Hill, as its name implies, it is quite a remarkable example of the hand of nature upon the landscape.

Lunch will be served at Tea Banquet Restaurant (local favor). Take afternoon flight to Kunming, ¡°City of Eternal Spring¡±. Meet and transfer to hotel.

Day 6: Kunming B,L,D (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
A full-day excursion takes you to the Stone Forest, which is a special type of limestone formation known as karst. From a distance, it looks indeed like a dense forest, hence the name. Visit Colorful Yunnan Jade Store on the way back to city. Enjoy local favor of ¡° over the bridge noodles¡±. in the evening.

Day 7: Kunmming/Dali B,L
Take morning flight to Dali. Today we will have an opportunity to jump on a ferry across Erhai Lake and explore a charming fishing village nearby. And then we will visit an ancient Bai minority people's town to see the traditional stone buildings, enjoy the tea ceremony of Bai Ethnic, take as more pictures of the colorful costumes of Bai Ethic.

Day 8: Dali/Lijiang B,L
Today begins with a morning visit to local market in Xizhou. Then visit Dali Three Pagodas and Old Town or spend half-day catching a chairlift up and hiking in the mountains behind Dali (stopping at the occasional monastery along the way). We can also cycle to nearby villages or just stroll around town. Drive to Lijiang in the afternoon.

Day 9: Lijiang B,L
Full day visit the Black Dragon Pool, Square Street and the Lijiang Old Town. As you walk through the old town, you will immediately get an unique feeling by small bridges, swift streams, cobbled streets and grey tiled roofs of the Residential Houses. It is an ancient legacy of Naxi people. We will stop at the small Naxi Culture Museum to learn about their distinctive Dongba pictographic characters The Naxi Ancient Music performance is arranged in the evening.

Day 10: Lijiang B,L
Visit the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, take big cable car up to the peak of the mountain, hike in the mountain, enjoy the breath-taking view of the main peak (5596m high), Then drive to Baisha Grottoa and Naxi Village to find out where and how Naxi people live. .

Day 11: Lijiang/Zhongdian B,L
Drive northwest from Lijiang to Shigu Village to see the sweeping First Bend of the Yangtze River; then visit the tremendous Tiger Leaping Gorge, where the river forces its way between Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Haba Snow Mountain. Continue upcountry to Zhongdian, on the edge of the Tibetan plateau.

Day 12: Zhongdian B,L
Explore Zhongdian and the surrounding Tibetan cultural areas. One highlight is the short trip to the large Songzanlin Monastery, which is the largest Tibetan style temple in Yunnan with more than 800 monks and 3 living buddhas living inside. Then visit beautiful Shudu Lake and to be a guest in a Tibetan Family.

Day 13: Zhongdian/Kunming B,L
Take morning flight back to Kunming. Visit Dragon Gate on the top of the Western Hill. Then stop at the Grand view Tower, which was built in 1690. And then visit Golden Palace, dazzling with light, its main hall is bronze; hence its name. Evening is on your own, you can take a stroll along the beautiful Green Lake, a quaint area surrounded by little teahouses, cafes and small shops selling souvenirs and paintings.

Day 14: Kunming/Chongqing B,L,SD (special dinner)
Take morning flight to Chongqing. Visit Panda House, Ciqikou old street and Stillwell Museum. Enjoy Chongqing Double Flavored Hot Pot dinner before boarding the cruise boat.

Day 15: Yangtze cruise (Chongqing/Yichang) B,L,D
At 9:00am as the cruise leaves Chongqing, your memorable Yangtze River tour begins. In the afternoon disembark at Fengdu, the "Ghost City" for an excursion. Captain's Welcome Party with Chinese folk dancing and music performance is arranged in the evening.

Day 16: Yangtze cruise B,L,D
You have a morning excursion to White King City. The ship enters the Qutang Gorge, the shortest and grandest of the Three Gorges. After lunch, pass the Wu Gorge with its twelve lofty and misty gorges. Then disembark at Badong for an adventure tour to Shennong Stream, a newly opened unspoiled river with verdant plants, ancient coffins and precious animals. The continue sailing into the western section of Xiling Gorge.

Day 17: Yichang/Wuhan B,L
Disembark at Sandouping for an excursion to the new and still under construction, Three Gorges Dam. Pack your bags and complete check-out procedures before the ship arrives in Yichang at about 10:30. Our guide will meet you on board. Transfer to Wuhan.

Day 18: Wuhan/Shanghai B,L
Take flight to Shanghai, China's largest city and vibrant commercial heart. Our guide will take you for a walk along the Bund, the city's landmark, to view the neo-Classical and Art Deco buildings from Shanghai's heyday of 1930's and meander through the bustling Nanjing Road for some shopping. Then your guide will take you to the Xin Tian Di, which is a newly developed recreation area in Shanghai with old styled buildings. You may find a cafe or western-styled restaurant to have your own dinner.

Day 19: Shanghai B,L,D
Today¡¯s city tour starts with Yuyuan Garden, formerly a private garden with rookies, pavilions, halls and ponds. And then walk around the Chenghuangmiao Area (old town), the most-lively place in Shanghai. Lunch will be at Seagull Palace (Shanghai Cuisine) beside Huangpu River. In the afternoon, you will visit world-class Shanghai Museum with its many fine exhibits (especially of note is the Chinese Minority exhibit) and Children¡¯s palace. Enjoy Portman Acrobatic show after dinner.

Day 20: .Shanghai/Suzhou B,L
Transfer to Suzhou by car. A Chinese proverb says, ¡°In heaven there is paradise; on earth Suzhou¡± ¡ª it¡¯s easy to see why when we visit here. After arrival, head out for a walk through the Humble Administrator Garden, which has been designated as UNESCO World Heritage site, and Tiger Hill, known as the No.1 Scenic spot of Suzhou. Enjoy a cruise on the Grand Canal and then visit a Silk Reeling Factory, which has many fine examples of silk. Then you will also go to the Embroidery Institute, where the Chinese masters do in thread what our western masters have done in oil paints.

Day 21: Suzhou/Hangzhou B,L
Take morning train to Hangzhou. Inside train, you may take this opportunity to socialise with your fellow travellers. After checking in the hotel, you will visit Lingyin Temple and take a cruise on the beautiful West Lake. And then go to Huagang Park to see the Red Carp.

Day 22: Hangzhou/Xi¡¯an B,L
This morning you will be transferred to a Tea Plantation, where you can taste the tea as well as acquaint yourself with the ancient refining process of tea. Then visit Liuhe Pagoda, the famous octagonal pagoda, the brick and wood-structure. Take flight to Xi¡¯an, China's former capital, and gateway to the legendary Silk Road, Upon arrival, meet and transfer to your hotel.

Day 23: Xi¡¯an B,L,D (special dinner)
Today's highlights is the most spectacular and important places in China: the Archaeological Museum with more than 6000 life-size terra-cotta warriors and horses excavated from the tomb of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty. On the way you will stop at a farm¡¯s village to find out how and where they have lived in China, where President Clinton had been to. Then we will visit Chinese paper cutting.demonstration at Friendship Restaurant, where you will have lunch. Afternoon explore the bustling Muslim Quarter or seek serenity in the grounds of the Grand Mosque. Enjoy Tang Dynasty dinner show at Tang Dynasty Palace.

Day 24: Xi¡¯an/Beijing B,L
This morning, you will stroll along the South Gate, a lively pedestrian quarter where you'll see street artists demonstrating their wonderful skills. Sightseeing today features the ancient city wall, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Shanxi provincial museum. The experience of riding bicycle at the top of the wall will be unforgotten. After lunch, take afternoon flight to Beijing, China's exciting and cultural heart. Meet and transfer to hotel.

Day 25: Beijing B,L,D
The day begins at Tiananmen Square, the largest City Square in the world. From there you will enter the Forbidden City, a powerful maze of ancient palaces and courtyards from which the emperor ruled the land for 500 years. You will also see the Emperor's clock collection and the Qing Dynasty Jewelry, Robes and Relics collection (which Westerners rarely see). After lunch at local Chinese restaurant, we will take you to the Temple of Heaven, where the emperors of the Ming and the Qing Dynasties prayed for good harvests. The temple is not only especially glamorous, it is an architectural wonder because not a single nail was used for its construction. Enjoy Chinese Kongfu or Peking Opera show after dinner.

Day 26: Beijing B,L,SD (special dinner)
Today's excursion to the Great Wall (Juyongguan section) of China promise to be a highlights of our travels. We'll have a chance to take a hike along one of the most beautiful sections and learn of its construction 2000 years ago, and examine first-hand one of the most scenic portions of its 3700 miles length. Visit the workshops of a cloisonne factory to see workers practice this unique art. After lunch, we will visit Ming Tombs, including the Sacred Way and the Ding Ling Museum. You will be able to enter one of the tombs. In the Ding Ling Museum you can see artifacts and replicas from the tomb itself. The Peking Duck banquet will be at famous Duck King Restaurant.

Day 27: Beijing B,L
This morning you will take trishaw into Hutong, which is an ancient city alley, to experience the life of the local people. Visit the old quadrangles inhabited by Beijing residents. Tour in the Prince Gong¡¯s Palace and have a cup of tea. You also have an opportunity to visit a local family and chat with local people. If you like you can learn how to make Jiaozi (Chinese traditional dumpling) and have lunch with local people. After lunch, you will be taken to The Summer Palace, a vast and beautiful landscape of elegant garden, lakes and pavilions. We¡¯ll admire the famous Marble Boat during the visit. Dinner will be on your own.

Day 28: Beijing B,L
Today you will be taken to famous Silk Market (antique market if on Saturday or Sunday) and Hongqiao Market (pearl market), which are where the Beijingers shop. Here, you can find many incredible deals on things, if you know what you are looking for and you know how to bargain. Buffet lunch at four star CTS hotel. Rest day is free on your own.

Day 29: Leave Beijing B
Departure transfer to airport. Fly for home
